I’ve decided to sell my Supra Twin Turbo. What’s a good site to post an ad?
3rd child forces sale on my beloved 94 supra twin turbo. what’s a reasonable price to put it on ad and where should i put it?
depends on the price range and geographic location.
Craigslist offers free ads, but the cars sell best in the $10,000 and lower price range. Also you may have to deal with trollers, making ridiculous offers.
cars.com is a nice site. Seems to have a lot of content. Autotrader is also very popular.
The best thing about cars.com and autotrader is that people go to those site looking for cars, whereas craigslist has a lot of browsers, but most are interested in other things.
I suggest you post in craigslist for a couple weeks. See if you can save the $50+ to list elsewhere. If nothing happens, then list in either cars.com or autotrader.com. Slight preference for autotrader, though.
Oh, forget Ebay, unless you want to sell to someone 1,000 miles away and deal with that, or want to re-list it after the reserve isn’t met… elsewhere.
ALSO – I have gotten as much response when selling my vehicles by getting 3″ vinyl lettering kits from a craft store, and applying the Price – Model Year – Mileage – Contact No. on at least two windows. Use largest letters for the price. Use smaller (1.5″ or 2″) letters for the mileage, etc. Remember that what gets attention is having the PRICE visible to drivers as they drive by. Oh, and park the car in a safe place that’s visible to a lot of traffic.
